It’s been a year for it – TRB took on some great events – stalwarts of the Scottish racing calendar. Then along came COVID-19 to come and topple them all. Clydestride Ultra was one of those amazing events. A 40-mile epic along the Clyde Walkway from Partick to New Lanark taking in the sights along the way. A fantastic route and a great event.
So whilst we patiently plan for 2021 Clydestride, we put together a small virtual event for 2020.
Virtual Clydestride 4.0 Miles
Entrants will be asked to run a 4.0 mile route of their choosing, anywhere in the country. The one small proviso that it must be along a waterway – a riverbank, a canal, the seafront. We’d love you all to find a nice river to run alongside but understand this may not be possible for everyone – and we certainly don’t want to encourage people to travel too far in order to achieve this! Please adhere to current government guidelines.
Take part anywhere, anytime between 11th July and 18th July.
Entry
Entry costs £5/£7 (SA/EA discount). This is a Scottish Athletics licensed event.
Participants will receive a custom medal, made from sustainably sourced wood.
Options available for TRB’s Tee or Tree – either opt for an event t-shirt or plant a tree, helping to re-wild the Scottish Highlands (https://www.therunbible.com/tee-or-tree/)
Pyjama Fairies
At TRB we like to support charities and encourage our participants to join us. For the Virtual Clydestride 4.0 Mile event we are supporting Pyjama Fairies – Pyjama Fairies is the only UK charity to make pyjamas and surgical gowns specially designed for babies and children. Each garment is made in colourful, age-appropriate fabric and is designed to minimise discomfort when medical intervention is necessary.
After you complete you run
Upon completion of your run, log in to Entry Central and upload the details of your activity. We will then arrange for your reward and optional extras to be sent out to you. Feel free, in fact we actively encourage you, to share a picture of your water side run to our Facebook event page
