The RUN Bible are committed to encouraging sustainability and are announcing the launch of Tee or Tree
- In the UK alone, 300,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill each year.
- Race t-shirts are the equivalent of 8 or 9 plastic bottles.
- In the average UK household nearly a third of clothes haven’t been worn in the last year. That’s over £1000 per household, £30 billion of unused clothes in the UK.
- 60% of runners have 10+ race tshirts

We are delighted to announce our new Tee or Tree scheme. Whilst recognising many runners love and cherish a race tshirt as a memento of their race, we are also aware that many participants have run for several years and have a drawer full of unwanted apparel.
All the races organised by The RUN Bible will offer the option to purchase a technical fabric race tshirt or plant a tree in TRB’s ever expanding grove with Trees For Life – helping to re-wild the Scottish Highlands with natural species.
Trees For Life
Trees For Life are a conservation charity dedicated to rewilding the Scottish Highlands. They have established 44 tree planting sites and planted nearly two million trees.
Major Projects
The RUN Bible Corporate Grove
The RUN Bible has signed up with Trees For Life to establish a corporate grove. Every option for a tree chosen instead of a tshirt will result in a donation to Trees For Life, and a new tree planted within 12 months. You can visit the TRB grove virtually here. TRB also hope at some future stage to provide guided trail runs and volunteer opportunities around the rewilding works.
